Post-fire update
LATEST NEWS

As a result of the major fire incident which occurred 25th January 2005, the reunion that had been originally planned for 17th to 19th June 2005 was not able to take place

For more details  on the incident and the range of developments since, you can read some of the extensive press coverage that has transpired

Additionally, you can view numerous photographs of the main building and surroundings both before and since the incident

Melanie Edgar, Stoke Rochford Management’s Conference and Reservations Manager, in a letter sent to the Reunion Group commented, “...on Tuesday 25th January a dreadful fire occurred at Stoke Rochford Hall, devastating the mansion and its wonderful function rooms. This has inevitably meant that events due to take place at the Hall have unfortunately had to be cancelled.”

Fortunately, since September 2005, the Hall is now partly operational again - albeit on a smaller scale

The planned restoration and renovation work is due to commence early in 2006 and is expected to take perhaps three years to complete

Stoke Rochford Management have published an official leaflet which provides further information about the fire and events since, together with future plans

In spite of this major setback, the next college reunion actually took place...

from 2nd to 4th June 2006
